Statewide Professional Designation

ICEA offers two types of professional designations for chamber professionals. The Accredited Executive (AE) and Certified Professional (CP) designations demonstrate a commitment to the industry. Applicants are evaluated on leadership, community involvement, commitment to the chamber profession and service to the state as a chamber professional. 

CP Designation – Any ICEA member with 4+ years of professional experience may apply for the Certified Professional designation. 

AE Designation – Any ICEA member who has served as a chamber executive for at least two years, has a combined total of 5+ years of chamber experience and has achieved the IOM designation.

​Recipients of the accreditations are honored at the annual conference.
