About the Award
The Outstanding Chamber of the Year Award recognizes organizational excellence in chambers of commerce and provides a unique benchmarking opportunity to assess a chamber’s strengths. The award is based on the U.S. Chamber’s accreditation process for local chambers and highlights accomplishments in the areas of leadership/governance, finance, advocacy and membership development.
Members of ICEA in good standing during the year the award is presented are eligible to apply. Previous nominees and recipients may re-apply annually.
Benefits to Applicants
All eligible applicants receive:
● Letter to their Board of Directors recognizing their application;
● Listing on ICEA website and announcement to ICEA members;
● Recognition in a press release;
● A copy of adjudication remarks, if available;
● Assistance with expanding the application for accreditation.
Applications and Deadlines
The Outstanding Chamber of the Year Award applications are due by April 15. Do not send promotional items such as mugs, posters, t-shirts, or other oversized items that do not fit in a binder format; these items will not be considered as part of the application.
Send three copies of all materials in separate binders along with a non-refundable $60 application fee to: ICEA Outstanding Chamber of the Year Award, P.O. Box 377, Hanover IN 47243.
