Some area businesses will soon learn that membership has its privileges.

After a marathon membership drive the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce has more than 210 new members.

This was the first membership drive in seven years. During the two-day event current members contacted friends and businesses in hopes of getting them to join the Chamber.

Event organizers say the turn-out was amazing and couldn't have been accomplished without the community's support.
